Home Again
It's good to come home usually and that's true today. It's our first day back from a vacation with 6 of our family members (cute little guys and their parents--our children). We had a wonderful relaxing time enjoying people we hold dear and "smelling the roses" in the sunshine of Florida. When you have this type of opportunity, you know why you feel blessed. Got in yesterday. Today I received a call from a friend telling me the sad news that another friend's daughter in law died yesterday in California and the details will follow as soon as they are available. Meanwhile my friend and her husband are rushing off on a snowy morning to be close to their son during their family's tragedy. God bless them all and give them the strength they need to go forward. You just never know what's around the corner or just how vulnerable each of us are at any given minute. My day will be filled with laundry, unpacking, getting back into the groove at home, setting business appointments, and generally catching up and others close to me will be mourning together and singley and just trying to get a grip of each moment that comes by. Perspective is always important. "Where you put your eyes, that's about the size of it." (taken from a Sesame Street song)
