We Are All Israelis Now

I do not for the life of me understand the European bias against Israelis. Israel is the only country in the middle east that doesn't hide behind women and children to kill others because of religion. It's the only country in the middle east that does not keep its weaponry in and UNDER the residences of innocent civilians. It's the only country in the middle east that values life and family in the way that Europeans would understand.

We Are All Israelis

At a pro-Israel dinner organized in Washington this week a speaker declared "we are all Israelis now." He's right.

Israeli forces in Gaza and Lebanon are fighting not just a police action against local terrorists; they are fighting in the global war we are all waging against Islamist fascists. Gaza's Hamas and Lebanon's Hezbollah are proxy clients of the founder of Islamic fascism, Iran. Eagerly taking advantage of the mayhem is Syria, a neighborhood bully that would love to control Lebanon again.

Iran declared war on the U.S. unofficially twenty-seven years ago when it seized hostages in the American embassy and declared us to be the "great Satan." It now says that its ultimate goal is not only to wipe out Israel but to take down the whole of the U.S. too. In that undeclared war Israel is on the front line, but we are their closest allies.
