Senate: Hey America! Assume The Position

Aside from selling-out the American people en masse by passing Senate Bill S.2611 (so pro amnesty, it could make you scream), you also have to ask yourself if our Senators lost their minds in the process of putting together this abomination.

Not only does S.2611 attempt to legislate tax matters, something that only the congress can do by law, it would also enable millions of illegal aliens to qualify for the earned income tax credit (costing the rest of us taxpayers millions of dollars). For God's sake, it is even estimated to cost $50 billion over the next ten years by those who voted for it. Since estimates are notoriously low-balled in the planning stages, I'd be expecting an even bigger total. I can't think of one thing ever proposed by our government that came in costing us LESS than expected, can you?

At a time when we have so many places our money is needed and a social security program in deep financial doo doo (bankrupting itself as we speak), can these foolish men and women even be serious? Honestly, no bill is better than this. In fact, if no bill is passed, we can come to our collective senses someday and actually start enforcing our current immigration and tax laws.

Believe me, if illegals qualify for the earned income tax credit, they are NOT going to be adding ANYTHING to the coffers from which to pay the country's bills--they are going to COST the rest of us billions.

And they are not going to add anything to the pot if they make enough to NOT QUALIFY for the EIC either, because their employers are NOT going to want to pay them the big bucks. That's their value: they are CHEAP.

And, if their employers don't want to pay them big money, fringe benefits, all above board--you know, treat them like US labor--they're going to be going underground again or they'll be--all 20 million of them--on the welfare rolls collecting benefits. That WE are going to have to pay higher taxes to pay for.

Again, once the illegals become legals, do you think their employers are going to keep them on at higher salaries that they will want and do you believe the employers REALLY want to report their income to the government (above the table), or do you think they are going to go looking for new lower cost labor in Mexico, El Salvador, and wherever? A whole NEW batch of 20 million for us taxpayers to carry on the lower economic end of our population.

Are we seriously thinking of enabling another 40 or 60 or 100 million to jump or fall over our borders and sign up for the public dole? Gotta tell you, it's not only Social Security that's going to go south if that happens. Try to get medical care in THAT environment.

Every Senator who voted for this bill should NOT be re-elected next time up to bat. Find out how your Senators voted HERE. They must not be hearing us. But if you assume the position--the "voting" position--they certainly WILL.
