How To Take Back America!
Fight the war and help the Iraqis govern their country until they can do it theymselves. Hand it (the military and police functions) over as Iraqis learn how to develop leaders who don't murder each other over disagreements--not one day earlier. This is not an overnight procedure. We should expect it to last a long long time. 10 more years would be short. Generations would be realistic. We should continue to spread democracy everywhere we can.
Send the UN elsewhere. Let a country with "relative" values deal with the UN's privileged thugs and guests.
No amnesty for illegal aliens. No new guest worker program. We already have one--it's called a green card. Enforce current laws. Do not pass new laws without teeth or any allocations for enforcement. Deport illegals as they are discovered. In bus loads of 43. Fine and hold employers fiscally responsible for hiring illegals. Build the double fence. Enforce laws already on the books. Support the Minutemen project beginning on Memorial Day.
Close the borders to "students" studying non-degree programs in our prestigous colleges. Begin putting national security ahead of everything else. (Refer to last paragraph of previous entry.) New citizens must pledge allegiance to the USA alone. They also must speak English BEFORE becoming a citizen. We should all be policemen to protect our children and our borders. When the heck did we decide to let people run free in our neighborhoods who want to murder us? Politically "correct?" Not if you are sane.
No foreign government may own a company that will run any part of the US infrastruture.
Begin drilling for oil in Alaska. Build refineries here asap.
Flat (not FAIR) tax at 10-12%, please! No exemptions, no deductions for anyone! Re-train tax accountants to be something socially redeeming.
Cut out all gifts from any lobbyist to any legislator or legislator's family.
Oh, and let's have the legislators join the rest of us in the Social Security retirement system beginning with new electees in 2006. Imagine the dollars that would save! Dump the huge salary retirement program and medical coverage for life program for senators and congressmen in the future. (How can anyone be expected to legislate what's not in their own interest?)
