DON'T VOTE OBAMA UNLESS....

It's past time for us to do what's required: to get the facts about our candidates for President of the USA.

It's been more than a little tiresome hearing tv interviews of bubbly devotees of Barack Hussein Obama yammering on about his many virtues.

He's for "change" and "bringing our troops home."

If the next question is, "Can you tell me one of his accomplishments?" they cannot. Without fail.

So far, every "devotee" interviewed has been unable to name even one accomplishment of this man. I am in awe. In awe of the superficiality exhibited by college students and so-called elite thinkers.

They apparently are blinded by Obama's "style" and "presence" to the point that they so necessary to really understand what you think you know.

What happens if some of the worst things people say about Candidate Obama are true? Can you say you know for sure that that he actually accomplished "change" as a senator? Or if he did not, do you know if he even has the ability and desire to really follow through on his campaign promises?

Do you know for sure that his friendship with the terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn are just "for political reasons?" And if your research shows that they are not just superficial acquaintances but actual friends who visit each other's homes regularly, how will you feel about voting for him?

And do you know if he is a born again Christian or a muslim at heart? Not unless you are in his head.

And if you find that he sees himself as a Christian but he was present at Trinity United Church of Christ and WAS aware of his dear mentor, the Reverend Wright's, anger-filled hate filled speech about our country during multiple Sunday sermons, will that even pique your doubt a little about his suitability to serve as the president of all Americans?

And, further, if he does not identify himself as a muslim, do you know that that's not how the Arabs and muslims see it. In their culture under islamic law, if your father is a muslim, so are you.

And do you know that they believe you cannot go back: once a muslim, always a muslim. So according to muslims, Obama is still one of them even if he thinks he's a Christian.

Does that make him an infidel in their eyes? Do they believe they have a duty to eliminate a muslim who becomes a Christian? And, is it possible for you to not know the answer to these questions and still vote for him?

Listen folks. There are more questions than the few listed here out there splashed all over the media about this candidate. It's up to us to learn what's necessary to make our vote the best vote we can cast for all Americans.

It really does come down to knowing this: What do you need to know before you cast your vote that will satisfy you that you've done your homework well enough that you can sleep well after voting?

If you do not like my links, that's fair. You can research some for yourself. But don't kid yourself either. Get both sides and make a decision based on facts, not another's opinion. It's important to be able to tell the difference between the two.

No matter who the candidate, when you see a "talking head" on tv, look to see if he or she is there because his opinion or affiliation is either the same as the interviewer or the candidate. You know, a Democrat complaining about President Bush isn't really to be taken as fact.

And actually neither is a Republican who sings the President's praises. You have to be mature enough to look for the reason the person wants to convince you to believe his statements.

If he's going to gain something by repeating the "talking points" of his party, you can't really take his statements to the bank as factual. Spin is spin. Whether it's a used car salesman trying to unload a clunker car on you, or if it's a spin doctor trying to convince you to vote for his "clunker" of a candidate. It's all the same. And it's everywhere.

Voting is important. It's part of our civic duty. We all have to live with the results of our elections. Our financial markets will react to the results, and so will your pocketbook.

When a candidate says he or she will provide something for every American, that person can't follow through on that promise unless there's enough money in the Treasury to pay for that promise--IF Congress agrees to allocate the money for it. If a majority of the members of Congress don't want that provision passed, that promise will not be honored. No matter what he or she promised. There are also lots of bills that have passed but are sitting in limbo awaiting funding.

Go do what's right with your vote. Then we'll all live with the outcome.
