Where did "The Reverend" go in media and literary references to The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr? Out of the first 26 hits of a random Google search, 0 used his title of "The Reverend Doctor"--even though he began his career as a Baptist Pastor in 1953, was instrumental in the founding of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1957 (dominating the group until his death), and, even though, he earned his Doctorate (PhD) from Boston College in Theology.

You try it. Go to Google and plug into the "search" box "Martin Luther King Jr." See what you come up with.

Theory: "The Reverend" was strategically dropped because the MSM and the manipulating malignant left do not want to alienate a large base group of the Democratic party--Christian Afro Americans.

After all, how can they vehemently demand "separation of church and state" and still maintain a National Holiday honoring an American religious icon?

And still include him, a Baptist minister, in public school history books, while they simultaneously demand that crosses are removed from California city historical seals and flags! They employ their standards selectively because they do not want to touch MLK--and MLK Day--for selfish political reasons.

Our Presidents are down to sharing a holiday now, but The Reverend Dr. MLK still warrants a whole day for himself. Praise God the ACLU hasn't taken this one on!
