The Forbidden Cartoons

There's so much ado about the "Forbidden" Muhammad cartoons that have the barbarians murdering each other again (and asking Muslims around the world to behead those who insult Islam) while boycotting the Danes in their spare time. I happened across a blog that is carrying them all. I hadn't seen any of them and expected something really hateful and dark in appearance. In actuality, some of the cartoons are a little amusing--I particularly liked the one that refers to Muhammad asking the Muslims to cut out all the murdering because he's running out of virgins with which to reward them.

And by the way, if you're feeling militant today, perhaps you'd want to jump on over to Michelle Malkin's site for the link to the list of Danish Products you might buy in order to counter the Islamic boycott on them. Freedom of expression in Denmark is a good thing.

Have to tell you, I'm just not "getting" the reason why the MSM (and cable media too) think it's okay to broadcast the cartoon dishonoring the paraplegic American soldier by Tom Toles, but have decided to "protect" us (or is it their own PC selves) from the more light-hearted ones showing Muhammad as the main character of the commentary. The Muhammad cartoons I saw were pretty tame by my standards. But then, I'm not inclined to murder anyone over any cartoon.

I'm also not "getting" the correlation Muslims try to draw between creating a cartoon dishonoring the victims of the holocaust to the cartoons that the Danish newpapers ran. It looks like jokes about victims of a tyrant vs jokes about a religious leader of a terroristic sect. Apples and oranges.

Isn't this Muslim contest just a stupid temper tantrum and an excuse to misdirect age-old anti-Jewish Muslim anger onto the Israeli population--again? Did they somehow lose track of the fact that it was a cartoonist from Denmark, not Israel, who created the drawings they find objectionable? Do they believe that the Danes will pay an emotional price because they are running a holocaust cartoon contest? Obvious disconnect.
