The Burglars Are Here

What would you do if a stranger broke into your house and took your things, used them, ate the food in your refrigerator, took your medicine, bathed in your bathtub, washed their clothes in your washer and dryer, wrote checks from your check book, wore your clothing, took your car keys and driver's license and drove your car without asking permission and then started bossing your family around telling them that he, this stranger, is vetoing all family decisions from now on? By the way, he says, if you don't stop making him feel so unwelcome, he might retaliate against you somehow. And you better know that, if he does, it's going to be your fault for not be charitable enough to him! Whatever he decides to do to you, I promise you, you aren't going to like it.

Well, he really is in your home(land), and he got here by breaking into your country--and so have millions of his mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, cousins and countrymen. They are illegally entering your house (your country) in droves, and they want (right now!) all the same services that you are entitled to and pay for--they just want them for free! Not only that, they want you to chip in and pay for their services too! 'Cause they don't have any money. It's the least you can do, they say. After all, they're hungry and they want what you have and, after all, it's not humane to let them go hungry until they can make their own way. It's simply your fault that they're here.

Problem with that is that they did the coming here because they were hungry in their homeland, too. The difference is that their homeland expects its citizens to provide for themselves and our homeland thinks it is just too mean to ask that much of any burglar. It's not too much to ask of a citizen, but a burglar, that's a different story. Believe it or not, I heard a person, who is in the business of helping provide free services to illegal border crashing criminals, say that illegals are here in our home(land) through no fault of their own. Now asylum is one thing, but, gosh oh gee, if you don't formally ask for asylum and you use your own two legs to get illegally into a place where you have no legal standing, you shouldn't be surprised if you are asked to leave or go to a prison. You also shouldn't blame others for your coming illegally. You used your legs, not theirs.

This reminds me of a story. Remember when you first heard about the neighbor who was held responsible when his house was broken into by a burglar? The intruder was armed and dangerous, and during the course of his illegal burglaring, he cut himself on the window he broke entering or leaving the premises. Then the kicker-- the illegal sued (drat there go those lawyers again!) the homeowner and won damages through the court system.

We were all dismayed when we heard the story, that the homeowner was held responsible for injuries incurred by a burglar while engaging in an illegal act against him without any assistance from him, the burgled. And more to the point, that a criminal had any legal standing to sue anyone. Why was he not prosecuted as a criminal using the glass cut as proof that he perpetrated the crime. A little DNA testing? Wham Bam! Back to your home land, burglar.

Liberalism really must be a mental disorder. The 5,000 pound elephant is in the middle of the room. Do you see it?
